What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Litigation Paralegal position at Priority Law Group, APLC?
*Our firm handles personal injury cases.* We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and accountable, full-time Senior Litigation Paralegal with legal experience at a Personal Injury Law Firm. The position requires initiative, attentiveness, and willingness, not just to get the job done, but to get it done properly and efficiently. . The ideal candidate for this position must be able to perform & multi-task the following duties:
* Filing documents in State Court (throughout California) using various attorney service vendors.
* A complete understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office (word, excel, and outlook) and preparing table of contents & authorities for motions (shortcut proficiency highly preferred)
* Calendaring hearing dates and all deadlines (motions, oppositions, replies, depositions, and discovery response and propounding due dates)
* Drafting and responding to discovery questions/answers with proper objections
* Noticing depositions, scheduling court reporters, and requesting reporter transcripts
* Making medical records requests, follow-up of those requests, and summarizing medical records
* Scanning and uploading all documents into Client files
* Copying and preparing documents for physical filing and pickup
* Case file management: Sorting, labeling, and organizing firm's case files (organized and detailed-oriented individuals highly preferred)
* And finally, client interaction: responding to calls/emails and providing case updates.
You must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Use of proper grammar and spelling is important.
