Position: Experienced Underground Utility Laborer

Pay: $28 per hour based on experience and skill level
Job Description:
Priority Construction Inc. is seeking experienced Underground Utility Laborers to support installation of sewer, storm, and water systems on active civil construction projects.
We are looking for individuals who understand underground utility work, can keep pace with production, and contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation of sewer, storm, and water lines
- Set pipe and assist operator with alignment and grade
- Install manholes, catch basins, and utility structures
- Perform lateral connections and tie-ins
- Assist with hot taps and live utility work
- Work safely in and around trenches and excavations
- Perform compaction, backfill, and jobsite cleanup
- Use lasers, grade rods, and hand tools as needed
- Assist with grade checking and maintaining line accuracy
- Maintain productivity and support crew operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in underground utility construction
- Knowledge of sewer, storm, and waterline installation
- Experience setting pipe, structures, and laterals
- Ability to work in trenches and around heavy equipment
- Familiarity with Topcon and Trimble grade control systems (preferred)
- Basic understanding of grade and elevations
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work as part of a crew and follow direction
- Safety-minded with awareness of trench conditions
