Job Description:

Priority Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Asphalt Paver Operator to operate both a Wheeler P265 and an Astec Carlson CP100II paver on active civil construction projects.

We are looking for a motivated individual who can take ownership of paving operations, maintain production efficiency, and deliver high-quality asphalt work from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Operate asphalt pavers (Wheeler P265 and Astec Carlson CP100II)
• Set up and run paving operations with minimal supervision
• Ensure proper grade, slope, and smoothness of finished asphalt
• Coordinate asphalt orders and communicate with plant as needed
• Line up and manage dump trucks for continuous paving operations
• Lead and direct laborers during paving activities
• Work closely with roller operators to achieve proper compaction
• Monitor material flow, temperature, and consistency
• Maintain equipment and keep jobsite organized
• Follow all safety standards and company procedures

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating asphalt pavers
• Experience with both commercial and subdivision paving preferred
• Ability to understand grades, slopes, and paving requirements
• Experience coordinating trucks and asphalt supply
• Leadership ability to manage crew during paving operations
• Strong attention to detail and finish quality
• Ability to work independently and complete projects efficiently
• Reliable, consistent, and production-focused
