Job Summary
We are seeking a bookkeeper and administrative staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing client bookkeeping and payroll using QuickBooks and internal administrative operations of our organization to ensure efficient compliance with various government regulations. The ideal candidate should be able to operate independently in a collaborative environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
· Assist with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop bookkeeping tasks under supervision.
· Enter, review, and categorize bank and credit-card transactions using the firm’s chart of accounts and coding rules.
· Assist with bank and credit-card reconciliations, including matching statements, payments, transfers, and finance charges.
· Help maintain customer, vendor, and account records in QuickBooks.
· Support accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, including bills, invoices, deposits, and payment documentation.
· Prepare basic accounting reports for review, such as profit and loss, balance sheet, transaction detail, and reconciliation reports.
· Assist with monthly close support, workpaper organization, and follow-up on missing receipts or documentation.
- Manage administrative duties within the organization including:
o Filing
o Manage general office functions
o Answer client calls
o Prepare correspondence
o Scan client documents
Experience
- Proficiency in Quickbooks software
- Proficiency using PC in Windows environment and programs including Excel and Work
- Proven experience in administration
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping processes and financial reporting
- Knowledge of account reconciliation procedures
- Experience in handling accounts receivable and journal entries
