Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data integration and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and SSRS, with the ability to design efficient ETL pipelines and deliver actionable insights through reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Build and optimize data pipelines to support analytics and business reporting needs.
- Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Create, modify, and manage reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement and maintain data quality checks, data governance, and documentation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues across ETL and reporting systems.
- Work with Azure cloud services for data storage, transformation, and orchestration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server database design, optimization, and T-SQL programming.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT workflows.
- Proficiency in SSRS for report development and deployment.
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources and systems.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Power BI or other BI visualization tools.
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Data Lake.
- Exposure to Python or Scala for data transformation tasks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
