Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support / Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Princeton, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to users in person, via phone, or remotely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware components.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees, including provisioning of accounts and equipment setup.
- Maintain IT inventory, track service tickets, and update documentation.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
- 2–5 years of experience in IT Support or Desktop Support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and network connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or ITIL are a plus.
- Experience supporting Active Directory and Office 365.
