Materials, Procurement & Fleet Operations ManagerPrinceton Electrical Makeover – Princeton, NJFull-Time Princeton Electrical Makeover, a well-established residential electrical service company operating 7–10 service trucks throughout the Princeton area, is seeking a highly organized and accountable Materials, Procurement & Fleet Operations Manager to oversee company-wide purchasing strategy, inventory systems, financial tracking, and fleet readiness.This is a management-level position responsible for exercising independent judgment over material expenditures, vendor relationships, purchasing standards, and fleet operations. The role directly impacts cost control, operational efficiency, and company profitability.This position serves as the primary authority over those expenditures.Primary ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Financial Oversight• Manage and control the company’s overall materials budget• Review daily job scopes and independently determine required materials• Authorize, modify, or deny material purchase requests• Enforce purchasing policies and spending limits• Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors and suppliers• Develop and implement cost-saving purchasing strategies• Review and approve technician receipts and purchases• Verify vendor invoices prior to accounting submission• Prepare daily material spending reports• Prepare monthly budget summaries and variance analysis• Analyze usage trends and identify margin improvement opportunities• Establish approved materials lists and purchasing standardsTruck & Inventory Oversight• Maintain standardized stock levels across service vehicles• Conduct van inventory audits• Implement tracking systems to prevent waste and overstock• Coordinate daily material preparation to support technician readiness• Oversee warehouse organization and inventory accuracyFleet Management Responsibilities• Conduct service vehicle inspections• Coordinate maintenance and repairs• Track service schedules, maintenance records, and repair costs• Monitor vehicle condition and enforce accountability standards• Identify cost-saving opportunities related to fleet operationsThis position requires consistent independent judgment and discretion on matters of financial and operational significance.
