Position Summary
This position is for a Speech-Language Pathologist in an outpatient Neurological rehabilitation clinic in Ocoee with a focus on individuals post stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, movement, and neuromuscular disorders. This therapist will work closely with an interdisciplinary team. Experience in neuro rehabilitation preferred. Projected clinic opening October 2025.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Evaluates patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings if available, family and significant
- Develops treatment plans which integrate with the continuum of care and have specific goals and objectives. Demonstrates
- Demonstrates the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify
policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates competency in the use, care and maintenance of profession specific equipment, observing safety precautions and
- Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plan and goals when appropriate, and prepares written documentation as required by the
- Recognizes and communicates when the patient has received optimal benefit from speech therapy.
- Ensures accurate billing.
- Adheres to State Practice Act and Standards of Practice.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Participates in Performance Improvement, program development, student supervision, assigned committees, safety and infection
- Demonstrates an awareness of legal issues, patient right and compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- Attends rehabilitation meetings, in-services, and any patient care meetings that are required for the assignment.
- Practices efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment. Instructs support personnel in their duties as necessary.
Education/Training
Master’s degree in speech/language pathology from an approved program. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) may apply.
Licensure/Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence or active engagement in the Clinical Fellowship Year requirements.
- Maintains current Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of Florida- provisional license is acceptable.
- Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification.
