Position Summary
PrincePerelson is seeking an experienced, exceptionally detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll & Billing Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on position with primary responsibility for processing weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees, along with client billing and accounts receivable support.
We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in payroll who is ready to take ownership of these day-to-day functions and can work independently with a high degree of accuracy and accountability. The right person enjoys detailed work, stays ahead of deadlines, learns systems quickly, and takes pride in getting things right.
Because of the nature of payroll and employee information, this position requires a high degree of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Primary Responsibilities
Payroll – Primary Focus
- Process accurate and timely weekly payroll for 100 employees.
- Review payroll information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to processing.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and respond to payroll-related questions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and year-end processing.
Client Billing & Invoicing
- Prepare and distribute accurate client invoices on a weekly basis.
- Review billing information for completeness and accuracy prior to invoicing.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and organized client billing records.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure payroll and billing information is accurate and aligned.
Accounts Receivable
- Monitor outstanding accounts receivable.
- Apply and accurately record client payments.
- Follow up professionally on past-due invoices and manage collection efforts.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of hands-on payroll processing experience preferred.
- Experience processing payroll independently or with limited supervision.
- Working knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with client billing/invoicing and accounts receivable.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Strong Excel skills and overall technology aptitude.
- Comfortable learning and working efficiently across multiple software systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll and compensation information.
- Multi-state payroll experience preferred.
- Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) preferred.
