Controller
St. George, Utah
Our client, a growing industry leader with corporate offices in St. George, Utah, is seeking a talented Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership and operational experience and the ability to elevate internal finance and accounting processes, improve reporting tools and monitor risk, and contribute overall to the positive corporate culture of a global business.
Qualifications:
- Ability to build out the Finance & Accounting division and provide excellent leadership to the team.
- Oversee all aspects and functions of the daily Finance & Accounting operations, including managing payroll, cash flow, and all tax requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and problem solve; ability to build unity and trust.
- Willingness to learn a unique industry and possess the tools necessary to analyze, forecast and advise business leaders.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience managing the month-end close process.
- Create best-in-class processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor financial controls and supervise the risk management process overall.
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to assess company performance
- Experience in international business and the ability to set up international satellite offices.
- Ideally some experience with foreign currency, banking, wires.
- Experience in Cash Management / Travel & Expenses.
Requirements:
- 10 years in Finance or Accounting leading a team, or in a CPA firm.
- Prior experience in a hands-on Controller role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong experience and proficiency in finance applications: QuickBooks, Bill.com, Oracle NetSuite – highly skilled in Excel.
- High-level of proficiency in NetSuite required, with an in-depth understanding of software integrations.
- Professional attitude, communication, and work ethic.
- CPA preferred but not required.
