About This Role:
The Fiscal Technician will join a high-functioning team of employees responsible for performing administrative and financial activities. This position requires strong ethical standards, attention to detail, effective prioritization and organization of work, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work cooperatively with others. Responsibilities in this role may include, but are not limited to:
- Review, reconcile, and ensure correct balancing of daily receipts;
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of invoices and receive and process customer payments;
- Enter information into financial software systems and spreadsheets;
- Create, prepare, and maintain various technical and financial software queries and reports; and
- Respond to questions and requests from staff, customers, and other departments and provide information and reports as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 1 year of full-time related financial work experience is required.

Preferences:
- Minimum 1 year of full-time professional work experience performing bookkeeping or accounting is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience providing information to customers and answering questions is preferred.
- Work experience with numerical data entry as a primary job function is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including creating and maintaining spreadsheets and using formulas, is preferred.
- Experience with entering information into a financial enterprise software system is preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Pre-Employment Requirement: Because the work performed includes fiscal responsibilities, passing a background check is a condition of employment for this position.
- Driving Requirement: Driving a County vehicle between office locations to transport receipts and other items is a requirement of this position, so possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
Work Schedule:
The work schedule is in-person, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). This position is not eligible for routine telework. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
Starting Salary Range:
$23.25 to $45.12 hourly
