About the Role:

Join the Primrose School of Mt. Juliet as our School Chef, where you'll play a vital role in nourishing young minds with healthy and delicious meals. We are looking for a passionate culinary professional who loves working with children and is committed to promoting wholesome eating habits in a fun and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines.
• Plan weekly menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
• Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure freshness.
• Collaborate with teachers to incorporate food education into the curriculum.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a culinary or food service role, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary guidelines for children.
• Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Passion for cooking and enthusiasm for working with young children.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.
