Job Responsibilities
- Collect and review daily timesheets, time cards, or electronic time entries from all employees.
- Verify the accuracy of reported hours, including regular time, overtime, breaks, and leave.
- Communicate with employees and supervisors to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
- Input time data into the company's payroll or timekeeping system promptly and accurately.
- Generate various timekeeping reports for management review, including attendance, overtime, and project hours.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll by providing accurate time data to the payroll department.
- Maintain organized and confidential records of all timekeeping documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws regarding timekeeping and payroll.
- Support supervisors in understanding and implementing timekeeping procedures.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a timekeeping, payroll, or administrative role, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in using timekeeping software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws related to timekeeping and payroll.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
