Senior IT Business Partner

Job Overview: 

Reporting to the IT Director, Business Partner Organization, this role is focused on the strategic alignment and relationship between IT and the Business stakeholders while being a thought leader and partner to the business for all things IT.  This role is critical to enable the IT Business Partner service model for Primoris and ensure IT is a solution-oriented partner that enables the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain an IT Strategy for the segment(s) they support (Renewables, Energy, Pipeline, Utilities or Back Office)
• Investigate and present technology solutions to the core IT team and business to advance business goals and objectives.
• Perform the role of Enterprise Architect for internal and external systems utilized by the supported business segment.
• Evaluate and understand the current technology landscape for supported segments and enterprise solutions to inform recommendations for future solutions.
• Develop business cases for requests including both costs and benefits.
• Work with business leaders within the supported business segment to establish and execute a governance process to prioritize IT initiatives and enhancements.
• Budget and estimate IT initiatives.
• Work closely with the development and business teams to assure timely solution delivery according to the specifications and implementation of business needs.
• Identify and work with external partners when needed to deliver on IT initiatives.
• Create IT budgets for the supported business segment.
• Build relationships between IT and Business Stakeholders and serve as the escalation point for IT related issues within the supported business segment.
• Establish and maintain relationships with executives in the supported business segments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and relevant experience
• 5 years’ experience with strategy, project management, annual planning, completing large and small projects, creating and delivering technology solutions in a consulting organization, IT organization, or for a software company managing and delivering IT projects.
• Detailed business process knowledge across multiple business domains in the Engineering and Construction industry is preferred, such as project controls, procurement, subcontracting, work order management, material management, inventory management, document management, timekeeping, job costing, job billing, fleet / equipment Management, sales / CRM, and safety.
• Experience with IT software evaluation, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Experience leading teams made up of both internal and external resources.
• Excellent leadership, relationship, change management, and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as required.
• Work in an office a minimum of 3-4 days per week
