RB Hinkle Construction is currently seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic in Sterling, VA to keep our fleet and heavy equipment running strong. If you can diagnose issues, make repairs, and help lead shop operations - this role is for you.
Pay based on experience overtime opportunities
What You'll Do:
- Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Help prioritize and coordinate daily shop repairs
- Inspect aerial equipment (booms, outriggers, safety components)
- Order and track parts
- Maintain service records and documentation
- Communicate equipment status with supervisors and field crews
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment repair
- Experience with bucket trucks or digger derricks preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Valid driver’s license required
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
