What are the responsibilities and job description for the Horizontal Directional Drill Locator - Talus position at Primoris Services Corporation?
Key Responsibilities:

Locate and track the drill head using electronic locating equipment to guide HDD operations

Interpret bore plans, utility maps, and depth requirements to ensure accurate installation
-
Communicate real-time depth, pitch, and direction adjustments to the drill operator
-
Identify and avoid existing underground utilities in accordance with one-call and safety procedures
-
Monitor drilling conditions and alert the crew to potential risks or deviations
-
Assist with job-site setup, potholing, and verification of utility locations
-
Maintain accurate records of bore paths, depths, and as-built information
-
Follow all company, OSHA, and job-site safety policies
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Experience locating for HDD operations, preferably in telecommunications
-
Proficiency with locating systems and HDD guidance equipment
-
Strong understanding of underground utility practices and damage prevention
-
Ability to read and interpret bore profiles and construction plans
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and job-site conditions
Physical & Work Environment:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
-
Exposure to outdoor environments, noise, and construction-related hazards
-
Use of required PPE at all times
Must be willing to work overtime as dictated by workload volumes.
