Job Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of workers, providing clear direction and delegating tasks effectively.
- Ensure all work is performed safely, adhering to company safety policies and procedures, as well as all applicable regulations.
- Interpret and implement project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain schedule and quality.
- Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, including progress, resource utilization, and safety observations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and crew members.
- Train and mentor junior crew members.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and post-project reviews as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction or utility services, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required depending on project needs.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and communication.
