About This Position

Claims Examiner 2 is responsible for performing routine and complex audit of waiver, terminal illness and life claims payments for pre- and post- check run. The Claims auditor ensures accurate and timely adjudication of claims, as well as identifying potential issues, and recommending strategies for resolution.

Salary: $45K - $55K

Hybrid Role in our Duluth Ga office

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Review all payments before processing payment file.
• Review each payment over adjuster’s authority limit and submit for manager second sign off.
• Review and assesses appropriateness of document changes in accordance with internal procedures as well as state regulations.
• Review and summarize any errors found and provide feedback to adjusters for additional handling.
• Analyzes problems, trends and identify any workflow opportunities that may need improvements to control losses.
• Advises Claims management of audit trends to utilize for development opportunities.
• Evaluate claims for adequacy of root cause, corrections, corrective actions, preventive actions and effectiveness.
• Provide feedback to adjusters to enhance their understanding of contract issues, system-related problems, and claims processing Policies and Procedures.
• Promote a spirit of cooperation and understanding among all personnel.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma
• 3 - 5 years experience with Claims adjudication
• Experience in Auditing (preferred)
