Job SummaryWe are a California-licensed construction company seeking a Certified Architect with proven California project experience, preferably San Diego-based, who is proficient in advanced architectural, BIM, and estimating software and capable of supporting estimation, permitting, and project execution from design through construction.Key Responsibilities- Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, BIM models, and construction documents- Perform detailed cost estimating, quantity take-offs, and budget control- Support project execution, constructability reviews, and field coordination- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, inspectors, and city plan reviewers- Assist with California and San Diego permitting and plan-check responses- Utilize BIM and estimating tools to improve accuracy and efficiency- Participate in scheduling and progress meetingsRequired Qualifications- Licensed / Certified Architect with California project experience- Strong background in construction estimation and project execution- Proficiency in Revit, BIM workflows, PlanSwift, and AutoCAD- Solid understanding of the California Building Code- Ability to produce permit-ready construction documentsPreferred Software & Advanced Tools- Autodesk Revit (BIM Modeling)- AutoCAD (Construction Documents)- PlanSwift (Digital Estimation)- Navisworks (Clash Detection)- Bluebeam Revu (Plan Review)- Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360- SketchUp Pro, Enscape, Lumion (Visualization)- Advanced ExcelPreferred Qualifications- San Diego permitting and plan-check experience- Experience with residential, Commercial and light public work.- Design-build or contractor-led project experienceHow to ApplySubmit your application through ZipRecruiter with a resume and portfolio where applicable.
