The Role
The Vice President of Business Development will lead StayTerra's organic growth strategy across all brands and destinations. This senior leader will build a high-performing, standardized, and data-driven business development function that drives owner acquisition, pipeline performance, and long-term retention.
From first conversation to post-onboarding handoff, the VP will ensure a seamless, transparent, and hospitality-driven owner journey that reflects StayTerra's brand promise of trust, partnership, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Organic Growth: Develop and execute a growth plan that expands StayTerra's managed home portfolio and strengthens brand presence in core and emerging markets.
- Standardize the BD Playbook: Establish a repeatable business development process with clear metrics, CRM tools (HubSpot), and consistent collateral across brands.
- Pipeline Management: Own the full sales funnel—lead generation, qualification, proposal, contracting, onboarding—and ensure accurate pipeline forecasting and accountability.
- Owner Journey Excellence: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Owner Experience teams to ensure every new homeowner enjoys a smooth, transparent onboarding experience until their home is live and performing.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a bestinclass BD team with shared goals, training, and performance incentives that align to company growth.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with Brand CEO/COO's, Marketing, Finance, and Corporate Development to drive market intelligence, conversion, and retention.

- Consistent annual growth in homes under management and revenue contribution.

Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive business development, sales, or growth leadership experience in vacation rentals, hospitality, or multilocation consumer services.
- Proven track record of scaling teams and achieving measurable growth targets.
- Expertise in CRM systems (HubSpot/Salesforce) and performance analytics.
- Strong relationship management and communication skills.
- Experience in developing standardized processes and fostering crossmarket alignment.
- Passion for hospitality, authenticity, and owner partnership.
