- Patient Types / Common Diagnoses:
- Cardiac & Vascular Care: MI, post-op open-heart surgery (including TAVR and fem-pop bypass within 24 hours), pre- and post-op open-heart patients (24–48 hours post-op), cardiac arrhythmias, Tikosyn therapy, pacemakers, ICDs, PCU-level patients, post-cardiac catheterization (femoral/radial with TR bands), carotid and thoracotomy patients transitioning from ICU, microvascular flap procedures, amputations related to vascular complications.
- Cardiac Telemetry: Chest pain evaluation, stress testing, heart catheterization, arrhythmia management, percutaneous interventions, pacemaker upgrades.

- Travelers are first to float to MedSurg units and ICU (to cover overflow assignment).
- Experience Required:
- 2 years of strong cardiac or PCU experience required
- First-time travelers accepted: Yes
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Skills Required:
- Care for cardiovascular patients, identify/interpret rhythms, epidurals, chest tubes
- Cardiac Drip Management: Nitro, Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine (fixed rate), Dobutamine (fixed rate)
