The Accounting Assistant serves as the operational leader of the accounting function while partnering closely with the Finance Director and operational leadership to ensure financial discipline across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all accounting operations incluiding General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Cost Accounting.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation, standard costing, and manufacturing cost accounting.
- Manage cash receipts, disbursements, and daily treasury activities.
- Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data within the ERP system.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate historical financial information.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred).
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and standard costing.
- Experience managing monthly financial close and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to improve accounting processes while supporting a growing organization.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for effective company communication in diverse settings
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively
- Previous office experience involving customer service, front desk responsibilities, or administrative support preferred
- Technical proficiency in computer literacy, typing accuracy, and familiarity with filing systems
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
