Accounting Clerk

Vault Accounting is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the smooth processing of transactions. You will assist with accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, prepare reports, and manage other general accounting tasks as needed. You will assist with investment and real estate accounting, collaborating across various common ownership entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
• Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries or discrepancies.
• Support the accounting team with ad-hoc financial tasks and special projects as required.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
• Proven experience in an accounting or clerical role, preferably in a professional office setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks obectively.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Compensation, Work Hours, and Benefits:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
