What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Prime Retail Services, Inc.?
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate and detailed
estimates.
- Manage the bid process to ensure a minimum of 3 bids per trade are obtained.
- Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Conduct site walk-throughs and site evaluations for existing conditions scope and qualifications.
- Attend periodic reviews and tour projects as appropriate to collaborate with onsite construction team.
- Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate proposals for scope and cost accuracy.
- Analyze historical data and develop unit cost estimates.
- Prepare and present clear, concise, and comprehensive bid packages.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop project budgets and
schedules.
- Identify potential risks and provide value engineering solutions where applicable.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
and high-quality work.
- Track and document estimate data for future use and reference.
