Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited (ACEN or CCNE) NP program.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years within the last 3 years in a clinical setting; prior military/aviation medicine experience preferred.
- License/Certification:
- Current, full, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner by ANCC, AANP, or other recognized national NP certifying body.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Provide comprehensive health care for Air Force personnel, including aviation-related medical evaluations and fitness-for-duty exams.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, with emphasis on occupational and aerospace medicine.
- Perform preventive health screenings, immunizations, and medical readiness evaluations.
- Counsel patients on health promotion, wellness, and risk reduction.
- Collaborate with physicians and flight surgeons for complex or specialty cases.
- Support medical readiness programs and ensure compliance with Air Force standards.
