We are seeking experienced Alarm Technicians to support our Projects Team, focused on multi-week commercial installation and deployment work involving fire alarm systems, intrusion alarm systems, and access control systems.

This role supports a wide range of customer environments, including retail, office, warehouse, distribution center, and industrial facilities. Project work involves extended travel, typically 1–2 weeks at a time, with travel extending to 2–3 weeks during peak project periods.

This position is ideal for a project-oriented Alarm Technician who enjoys staying on larger jobs, working as part of a team, and seeing installations through from start to finish.

Responsibilities

· Install and support fire alarm systems, intrusion alarm systems, and access control systems on commercial project sites

· Perform full system installations including panels, devices, field wiring, and end devices

· Pull, terminate, test, and label low-voltage cabling (18/2, Cat5e, Cat6, composite)

· Install control panels, keypads, mag locks, electric strikes, door contacts, motion sensors, sirens, and card readers

· Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and project documentation

· Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning during project closeout

· Work collaboratively with project teams, leads, and site supervisors

· Maintain accurate installation documentation and daily work records

· Travel for extended project durations while maintaining tools, PPE, and safety standards

Requirements

· Prior experience as an Alarm Technician installing fire alarm, security, and access control systems

· Strong background in project-based installations rather than short service calls

· Experience working in commercial environments including retail, office, warehouse, or industrial facilities

· Knowledge of alarm panels such as Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Notifier, Bosch, DSC, and Honeywell

· Ability to work away from home for 1–3 weeks at a time depending on project demand

· Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

· State-required licenses where applicable

· Lift and confined space certifications are a plus

Benefits and Compensation

· Hourly rate: $20–$45/hour

· Pay based on experience, certifications, and location

· Company truck provided

· Company-paid medical, dental, prescription, and vision benefits

· Life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance

· Paid vacation and holidays

· MD Live and TriaHealth programs

· Company-matched 401(k) and IRA retirement savings

· Per diem paid for overnight travel

· Drive time and mileage paid when using a personal vehicle for travel
