Position Summary
Prime Metals & Alloys is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician for 2 pm to 2 am to support our production operations by maintaining equipment, minimizing downtime, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This position plays a critical role in equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) according to schedule
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and production machinery
- Minimize downtime by improving equipment uptime
- Follow and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work reports
- Coordinate maintenance scheduling with Operations
- Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
- Assist in equipment damage analysis and root cause investigations
- Provide Purchasing with accurate part numbers and sourcing information
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or factory experience preferred
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience required
- Welding and/or mechanical repair skills preferred
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and take direction from the Maintenance Manager
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or hold up to 50 pounds consistently
- Ability to lift and hold at least 25 pounds at shoulder height
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
