Our client is looking for a Commodities Manager who can build strong supplier partnerships, reduce costs, and secure continuity of supply. If you have plastics and chemical industry experience, especially with resins, TiO₂, carbon black, or additives, this is your chance to make a significant impact.
What You’ll Do
- Manage purchasing of raw materials, indirect materials, MRO, services, and equipment
- Develop and implement supplier and commodity strategies
- Negotiate contracts and lead supplier performance improvements
- Conduct market analysis and communicate cost drivers and trends
- Maintain accurate supplier records and pricing history
- Lead supplier audits, cost improvement workshops, and corrective actions
- Support budgeting, costing, and procurement KPIs
What You Bring
- 5 years of procurement experience (plastics or chemical industry preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Chemistry, or related field
- Strong knowledge of global supply chains and supplier management
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Power BI); Dynamics 365 experience an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel as required
