What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mammography Technologist position at Prime Imaging?
Duties
- Perform procedures on patients according to established protocols
- Operate Mammography equipment and ensure proper functioning and safety measures are followed
- Position patients correctly and provide clear instructions for the procedure
- Monitor patients during the scan to ensure their comfort and safety
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze scan results
- Maintain patient records and document all procedures accurately
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in operating Mammography equipment and software
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Understanding of diagnostic evaluation methods, including PET scans, sonography, and X-rays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and medical staff effectively
