What You’ll Do

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

• Lead our Education Services Program by planning, implementing, and evaluating educational offerings.
• Collaborate with the Educational Service Director to assess program needs and goals.
• Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
• Ensure compliance with all County, State, and Federal regulations.
• Train and supervise staff to deliver high-quality educational services.
• Promote student participation in their own program planning.
• Maintain program quality, including financial management, safety, and facility standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (required).
• Certification: Valid Special Education teaching certification (required).
• Experience: Previous work in educational or community-based programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Expertise in IEP development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of behavior management, ISPs, and normalization principles.
