What You’ll Do
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:
- Lead our Education Services Program by planning, implementing, and evaluating educational offerings.
- Collaborate with the Educational Service Director to assess program needs and goals.
- Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Ensure compliance with all County, State, and Federal regulations.
- Train and supervise staff to deliver high-quality educational services.
- Promote student participation in their own program planning.
- Maintain program quality, including financial management, safety, and facility standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (required).
- Certification: Valid Special Education teaching certification (required).
- Experience: Previous work in educational or community-based programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Expertise in IEP development and implementation.
- Knowledge of behavior management, ISPs, and normalization principles.
