About the Role:
Responsible for providing education services of clinical and patient care services to attain our hospital’s objectives, mission and values established by corporate administration. They act as a bridge between clinical practice and education, helping staff stay current with best practices, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a clinical resource to staff during patient care.
- Mentor and coach clinical staff in skill development, critical thinking, and decision-making.
- Support new graduates and clinical residents during onboarding and transition to practice.
- Help implement new clinical guidelines, hospital policies, and evidence-based practices while monitoring compliance and providing remediation or education as needed.
- Collaborate with leadership on quality improvement and patient safety projects.
- Analyze performance data and help develop action plans for improvement.
- Encourage certifications, advanced degrees, and career growth.
- Keep staff informed about changes in healthcare regulations and trends.
Qualifications
- Must have a current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of 5 years acute care experience, prefer Critical Care areas
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
- Minimum of 2 years previous educational experience preferred
- Prior Critical Care experience is preferred for this role
