A busy Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine practice in central Connecticut seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases of the lungs, respiratory system, and sleep diagnosis including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, tuberculosis, and other complex chest infections. The role involves outpatient care only with light on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Conduct patient consultations and review medical histories.
- Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests (e.g., chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests).
- Diagnose and manage respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, lung cancer, and sleep apnea.
- Perform procedures such as bronchoscopy.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other specialists (e.g., thoracic surgeons, oncologists, respiratory therapists).
- Educate patients and families on disease management and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
