Wound Care Nurse (Full-Time | Monday–Friday )
Location: The Grove at Kirkwood, MO
Schedule: Monday through Friday, On call rotations
Pay Rate: $38.00 per hour
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to oversee and manage wound prevention and treatment for our residents. This role works closely with nursing leadership to ensure timely assessments, care planning, and documentation while supporting overall skin integrity across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform weekly wound rounds and skin assessments on assigned residents
Complete accurate and timely wound documentation, measurements, and photos
Develop and update individualized wound care treatment plans
Monitor healing progress and adjust interventions as needed
Collaborate with physicians, DON, therapy, and interdisciplinary team
Provide guidance and education to nursing staff on dressing changes and prevention
Ensure compliance with infection control, pressure injury protocols, and regulatory standards
Track wound outcomes and report changes to DON and care team
Participate in care plan meetings as required
Maintain supplies and communicate ordering needs
Qualifications:
Active RN or LPN license in Missouri (required)
Previous Wound Care Or Long-term Care Experience Preferred
Wound certification (WCC, WOCN, etc.) a plus, but not required
Strong assessment and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and communicate professionally
