AI Accounting & Finance Automation Analyst

Fluent in debits and credits as well as data and prompts? Prime Group is looking for an AI Accounting & Finance Automation Analyst to bring AI and automation into our core accounting processes.

The AI Accounting & Finance Automation Analyst brings AI and automation into Prime Group's core accounting processes, combining solid accounting knowledge with hands-on technical skills to speed up the close, improve accuracy, and free the team from repetitive work. The role reports to the Controller and partners with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and IT, and suits someone who understands debits and credits as well as data and prompts.

Including but not limited to:

• Find manual, high-volume accounting tasks and build AI or automation solutions for them, such as reconciliations, journal entries, invoice processing, and variance analysis
• Configure and maintain AI features in our ERP and close tools, and build workflows with automation and generative AI tools
• Write and test prompts and AI agents for tasks like account analysis, flux commentary, contract review, and policy research
• Design controls over AI-assisted processes: review steps, audit trails, data access, and documentation that hold up to internal and external audit
• Validate AI outputs for accuracy and completeness, and track error rates and time saved
• Build dashboards and reports that give leadership faster, clearer financial insight
• Train accounting staff on new tools and write clear procedures
• Keep up with AI developments and recommend tools, with attention to data privacy, security, and vendor risk
• Support month-end and year-end close as needed

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
• 2 years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial operations
• Strong grasp of US GAAP, the month-end close, and internal controls (SOX experience a plus)
• Hands-on experience using Claude (Anthropic) for accounting or finance work, such as building prompts, projects, or agents for analysis, reconciliations, or reporting
• Hands-on experience with at least one automation tool, such as Power Automate, UiPath, or Alteryx
• Advanced Excel and working knowledge of SQL or another data tool
• Ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical colleagues
• Sound judgment about where AI fits and where human review is required

Preferred

• CPA, CMA, or CISA, or progress toward one
• Python scripting for data cleaning, reconciliation, or analysis
• Experience implementing or administering an ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday) or close platform (BlackLine, FloQast)
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and model risk concepts
• Background in Big Four audit, advisory, or finance transformation

• Salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 plus bonus
