What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Contractor / Handyman – Property Renovations position at Prime & Co Construction?
Prime & Co Construction is looking for reliable handymen and subcontractors interested in stable, consistent residential renovation work.
We are open to both individual contractors and contractors with their own crews. You do not need to service both cities. We have projects in Montgomery and Birmingham, and contractors can accept work based on their location and availability.
Typical Work Includes
- LVP flooring installation
- Interior and exterior painting
- Countertop removal and replacement
- Toilet and plumbing fixture replacement
- Light fixture installation and replacement
- Cabinet installation and repairs
- Drywall repair and patching
- Trim and baseboard installation
- Door and hardware replacement
- Demolition and cleanup
- General handyman repairs
- Property turnovers and punch-list work
- Other residential renovation tasks
Compensation
Paid by the job or task.
On larger projects, contractors can earn $2,000 per week, depending on the scope and amount of work completed.
Some weeks may be around $2,800 , while lighter weeks may be closer to $1,000, depending on workload and available projects. We want to be upfront about the nature of project-based work rather than make unrealistic promises.
