What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Advisor / Fiduciary position at Prime Capital Management?
About Prism Capital Management
Prism Capital Management is a client-focused financial planning and wealth management firm located in Burlington, Washington. As a fiduciary, we are committed to providing objective financial guidance based on each client’s individual needs, goals, and best interests.
We believe financial advising should be built around long-term relationships, thoughtful planning, and trusted guidance, not sales quotas or pressure to recommend specific products.
Position Overview
Prism Capital Management is seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an advisor who enjoys helping clients but is tired of continually trying to meet required sales goals or being pressured to sell certain financial products.
Our firm operates under a fiduciary standard. Our advisors focus on understanding each client’s complete financial picture and providing recommendations that support the client’s best interests. This position is not driven by product sales or traditional sales quotas.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing financial plans, managing client relationships, providing investment guidance, and helping individuals and families make confident financial decisions.
We are primarily interested in speaking with established financial advisors who have portable existing client relationships. Depending on the circumstances, we may be interested in purchasing or transitioning the advisor’s book of business, subject to appropriate due diligence, client consent, and regulatory requirements.

- Develop and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with clients
- Meet with clients to understand their financial goals, needs, concerns, and priorities
- Create and present comprehensive financial plans

- Assist with the transition of existing client relationships when applicable
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a financial advisor, financial planner, wealth advisor, or in a similar client-facing financial role
- Strong understanding of financial planning and investment management
- Demonstrated commitment to acting in each client’s best interest
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
- Ability to explain complex financial topics in clear and simple terms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field preferred
- CFP® certification is strongly preferred
- Existing client relationships or a portable book of business
- Must be able to satisfy all applicable registration, licensing, background, and compliance requirements
Compensation
- Base salary of $100,000 per year
- Final compensation will depend on experience, professional credentials, licensing, and the size and complexity of the relationships being managed
- Potential performance-based bonus tied to client service, retention, firm performance, and other agreed-upon goals
- Additional transition or acquisition compensation may be negotiated for an advisor bringing an established book of business
- Any acquisition of client relationships will be evaluated individually and will be subject to due diligence, client consent, and applicable regulatory requirements
Benefits
Prism Capital Management anticipates offering a competitive benefits package that may include:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Retirement plan with employer contribution or matching
- Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave
- Support for licensing, registration, and professional certification expenses
- Flexible scheduling when appropriate
