Overview: The Billing Analyst is a key member of the Billing and Reporting team, responsible for managing and maintaining client billing and advisor compensation processes. The Billing Analyst oversees all aspects of client billing, including generating quarterly billing, reconciling data across multiple platforms, setting up and maintaining billing, and collaborating with financial advisors and internal support teams. Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and reconcile client account data to ensure accurate and complete billing.
- Maintain and update client billing profiles, ensuring all changes are promptly reflected in Orion and Salesforce.
- Calculate and review client fees based on assets under management (AUM) and established billing schedules.
- Collaborate with financial advisors and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely billing across multiple investment platforms in compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to verify data integrity and consistency across billing systems and settings.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and exceptions in coordination with advisors and operations teams.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of billing tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Reconcile fee payments and bi-monthly advisor compensation.
- Develop, document, and maintain billing procedures, workflows, and internal controls.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and custodians to troubleshoot billing issues and deliver high-quality service.
- Support M&A integration efforts, including billing setup and process alignment.
- Understand reporting procedures and contribute to maintaining accurate client performance reporting.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field (preferred).
- 2 years of experience in billing, accounting, or financial operations within wealth management.
- Experience using portfolio management systems (Orion required) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong understanding of wealth management fee structures and industry billing practices.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP).
