What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Superintendent / Foreman – Custom Homes position at Prime Builders LLC?
About Prime Builders
Prime Builders builds high-end custom homes across Utah's Wasatch Back. Promontory, Park City, and Heber City. We pair strong field execution with an in-house interior design team so the structure and the finish are held to the same standard. This is a hands-on shop where the people running our sites own the outcome.
The Role
We're hiring a Field Superintendent to lead the structural phase across our active Promontory and Heber City homes. You'll own each home from excavation through foundation, steel, framing, and MEP rough-in, moving between sites as each reaches its window.
We build to a high standard, and holding that standard in the field is a core part of this job, not something we sort out later once the drywall's up.
What You'll Do
- Run field operations through the structural phase: site prep and excavation, foundation, steel, framing, and MEP rough-in
- Own quality control through the structural phase. Checking the work against the plans before it gets covered, and don't let anything move forward that isn't right
- Catch problems early: a foundation or frame that's off a little is cheap to fix before rough-in and expensive after
- Schedule, coordinate, and inspect subcontractor work; hold subs to our standard, not just the schedule
- Keep each home on pace and flag slips early
- Manage site safety, cleanliness, material staging, and deliveries
- Report daily to the office — progress, photos, and anything that needs a decision
What You Bring
- 5 years in the trades with hands-on experience across the structural phases (foundation and framing especially). It doesn't all need to have been in a supervisor role, but you do need real leadership experience — time running a crew or being the person others look to on site
- A real eye for quality, you notice when something's off and you care enough to make it right
- Ability to read and build from a full set of plans, and to coordinate MEP rough-in against them
- A track record of keeping subs on schedule and holding quality
- Comfort working independently across multiple sites with daily travel between them
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Nice to Have
- High-end / luxury custom home experience
- Framing background or carpentry roots
- Familiarity with the Wasatch Back building environment and local trades
