About the Role:
The Variety Pack - Shift Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the manufacturing variety pack line to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This position is responsible for leading a team of production associates, managing workflow, and maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the shift. The Shift Lead acts as a liaison between management and production staff, facilitating communication and problem-solving to meet production goals and deadlines. They are accountable for monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize line efficiency. Ultimately, the Shift Lead ensures that all manufacturing processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Position Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production associates on the variety pack line during assigned shifts.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules to meet operational targets.
• Monitor equipment operation and perform or coordinate routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to promote skill development and maintain high performance levels.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding shift progress, challenges, and resource needs.
• Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Maintain accurate production records and report any incidents or deviations promptly.
