Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Communications Project Manager - I (Assistant) to join our pharmaceutical client in Rahway, NJ. This is a 7-month contract to start with the potential for extensions.
Pay: $39.00 - $49.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

This contractor role supports with Promotional Material Review (PMR) operations and Veeva Vault PromoMats, supporting the end-to-end promotional material review (PMR) process within Client Animal Health. This position supports the Director of Content Excellence to ensure the promotional review ecosystem is compliant, scalable, and continuously improving.
The role supports translating business and compliance needs into effective system capabilities and optimized ways of working. The contractor also partners closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Technical Services, IT, and creative partners to drive adoption of platform enhancements, streamline review workflows, and improve review cycle times and quality outcomes.
This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role with strategic influence across the promotional review landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Veeva Vault PromoMats Product & Platform Leadership
- Supports the product lead for Veeva Vault PromoMats on day-to-day platform performance, configuration inputs, and enhancement prioritization.
- Supports in translating promotional review business needs into clear system requirements and configuration recommendations.
- Partner with IT to support releases, upgrades, and new capability rollouts; assess business impact and drive readiness activities.
- Monitor industry trends and Veeva roadmap developments; recommend opportunities to improve compliance, efficiency, and scalability.
- Partners with stakeholders to support the enablement of efficient, compliant promotional review workflows by optimizing submission standards, review routing, and approval processes within PromoMats.
- Support ongoing policy improvements and consistent application of global and regional review standards.
- Troubleshoot operational issues impacting review timelines and quality; proactively drive resolution and continuous improvement.
- Maintain audit-ready practices across promotional content lifecycle activities.
- Act as a subject matter expert for PromoMats, providing guidance to internal teams and external agencies on best practices, submission quality, and system use.
- Partner with the broader Content Excellence team and other stakeholders to identify opportunities in training, documentation, and communications to stakeholders on system and process changes.
- Partner with the Content Excellence team for change management efforts related to new processes, features, or governance updates.
- Partner with agencies and marketers to support more streamlined asset submissions, improve metadata quality, and promote content reuse strategies.
- Define and deliver dashboards and metrics to measure review performance, cycle times, bottlenecks, and adoption of capabilities.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend operational and system improvements that enhance speed-to-market while maintaining compliance.
- Organize and support the global PMR governance forums and prove insights on process performance and enhancement opportunities aligned with discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats in a pharmaceutical or biotech organization.
- Strong understanding of promotional material review (MLR/PRC/PMR) processes in regulated environments.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a product or platform lead, translating business needs into system solutions.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Medical, IT, and external agencies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting global or regional promotional review models.
- Familiarity with content lifecycle management, digital asset management, modular content, or content reuse strategies.
- Experience contributing to system upgrades, releases, or process transformation initiatives.
