Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for an Applications Analyst III with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Enterprise Protective Services Support and Development Team
This position will possess the following primary job duties/responsibilities:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across application, operating system, database, network, and integration layers.
- Support and maintain applications hosted on Windows Server and Linux platforms.
- Support systems designated as Critical Infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in audits, compliance assessments, evidence collection, and remediation activities.
- Support a broad application portfolio, including vendor-hosted, internally developed, on‐premises, cloud, and hybrid systems.
- Provide support for SQL Server and other relational databases, including complex query development and performance analysis.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts within assigned application areas and implement fixes for assigned solutions.
- Communicate effectively with users, IT management, and other stakeholders regarding system status, outages, change management activities, issues, and defects.
- Work with vendors to implement, support, and maintain applications and solutions, including break/fix defects, patches, upgrades, and service packs.
- Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Utilize appropriate Human Performance tools during activities, particularly testing and implementation efforts.
- Participate in 24x7 on‐call rotations and provide after‐hours support as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
- 7 years’ experience with application development and support
- Strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communications skills to work effectively with business partners, peer IT resources, managed service providers, and all levels of management
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple user stories concurrently and properly prioritize required tasks
- Experience working within an application solution delivery life cycle
- Coding/programming experience
- Experience with modern source code management tools and processes
- Experience with highly regulated applications
