Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of U.S. power markets, with a focus on ERCOT and PJM, including supply-demand dynamics, price trends, and regulatory changes.
- Develop and utilize models to forecast power market conditions, load profiles, renewable energy integration, and capacity requirements.
- Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior management to support investment decisions and portfolio optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the U.S. and global headquarters, aligning market analysis with business objectives.
- Collect and organize market data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for effective decision-making.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies, participating in industry conferences and forums to build expertise.
- Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and impact of market analysis.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in power market analysis or a similar analytical role within the energy sector.
- Expertise in ERCOT and/or PJM markets, including electricity pricing, regulatory frameworks, and policy dynamics.
- Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Python, R, or MATLAB) and modeling tools (e.g., Plexos, BID3, PSO).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to senior management and technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience with power market trends, energy policy, and regulatory environments.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and environmental regulations is a plus.
