Primary Services is recruiting an Operations Manager for a large international terminal operator, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance across a high-complexity energy logistics facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations while driving continuous improvement, staff development, and compliance across all terminal functions. Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily activities of the operations department, including operators and coordinators.
- Oversee terminal control room, marine, truck, rail, and pipeline operations to ensure safe and efficient performance.
- Monitor and enforce HSSE policies, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead investigations of incidents, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with logistics, engineering, marketing, and maintenance teams to resolve operational and project-related issues.
- Review and approve operating procedures, inspection records, and calibration activities for process equipment.
- Support capital projects, budgeting processes, and operational improvement initiatives across the facility.
- Maintain oversight of SAP systems and operational data tracking to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide training, coaching, and development to operations personnel to enhance technical capability and performance.
- Authorize operational decisions, including stopping operations when safety or compliance risks are identified.
- Participate in audits and ensure readiness for inspections by regulatory and third-party agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and 10 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in midstream oil & gas or terminal operations environments.
- At least 5 years of leadership or management experience in industrial operations.
- Proven experience in chemical, petroleum, or terminal facility operations required.
- Working knowledge of SAP and operational management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project.
- Experience with HSSE management systems, safety compliance, and regulatory interfaces.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a TWIC card.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and safety training requirements.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and meet physical requirements for industrial environments.
Salary : $135,000 - $165,000
