Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Materials and Logistics Specialist for our client, a large-scale organization operating within a complex, high-volume supply chain environment. In this position, the Materials and Logistics Specialist will support end-to-end materials management activities, ensuring efficient planning, procurement coordination, storage oversight, and distribution of critical materials. This role requires close interaction with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain inventory accuracy, streamline logistics processes, and support uninterrupted operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate material planning, procurement tracking, storage, and distribution activities to support operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure alignment between physical stock and system data.
- Monitor supply levels and initiate replenishment actions based on demand forecasts and usage trends.
- Process purchase requisitions, work orders, and material requests within ERP systems.
- Track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with logistics schedules.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and warehouse teams to resolve material discrepancies.
- Support implementation and adherence to supply chain policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Analyze material usage data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in materials coordination, logistics, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting functions.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain best practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and distribution processes.
- Experience managing purchase orders, requisitions, and material tracking systems.
