This organization serves millions of residential and commercial customers nationwide while advancing cutting-edge solutions in renewable energy, electric vehicle ecosystems, and carbon capture technology. In this role, you'll act as a trusted advisor to business clients, delivering tailored energy solutions and exceptional service in a fast-paced, evolving market.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial business customers or develop a new book of business.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing all energy-related needs and inquiries.
- Meet or exceed sales, retention, volume, and margin targets.
- Conduct on-site visits with clients to review billing, usage, demand, and cost drivers.
- Utilize customer management systems to provide real-time updates, solutions, and account changes.
- Communicate new products, programs, and services to existing and prospective customers.
- Document all customer interactions, including meetings, calls, and correspondence, in CRM systems.
- Support onboarding of new high-value customers by coordinating account setup and transition activities.
- Perform energy audits to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Research client businesses to better understand operational needs and energy usage patterns.
- Provide insights and feedback to marketing teams based on customer interactions and trends.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience required.
- Experience in business-to-business sales and account management required.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and customer data management tools.
- Knowledge of electricity markets, including kW vs. kWh and billing components.
- Familiarity with TDSP charges and energy product structures.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with reliable transportation and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to complete and apply company-provided training programs.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, appointments, and client portfolios effectively.
- Experience conducting data analysis related to customer usage and billing preferred.
