What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Manager, Accounting & Reporting position at Primary Recruiting Services?
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet accruals to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Help support broader technical accounting projects as needed, including complex accounting areas and potential M&A-related work
- Review share-based compensation and long-term incentive plan accounting
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2-3 direct reports
- Partner with other accounting leaders on technical accounting, financial reporting, and operational accounting matters
- Assist with process improvement, automation, Alteryx/AI tools, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work cross-functionally with accounting, finance, HR, and other business partners
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience reviewing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts
- Prior experience managing direct reports
- Ability to review proper accounting treatment and think through technical accounting matters
- Strong communication, leadership, and team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working in a large, public company environment
- Experience with Alteryx, AI tools, automation, or process improvement initiatives
- Technical accounting, financial reporting, M&A, or complex accounting experience is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Public accounting background
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Experience with share-based compensation, stock comp, RSUs, LTI plans, ASC 718, or IFRS 2
- IFRS experience preferred, but not required
Salary : $145,000 - $155,000
