Division Controller | Alpharetta, GA
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting processes for a large operating division
• Ensure financial statements and accounting activities comply with US GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
• Prepare and review monthly financial results, including budget-to-actual analysis, and present key findings to division leadership
• Lead the division’s forecasting process, including annual forecasts, five-year plans, margin analysis, and overhead analysis
• Partner with operations and functional leaders to evaluate financial performance and support strategic business decisions
• Coordinate internal and external audit requests and ensure information is provided accurately and on time
• Facilitate workflows between the division, corporate accounting, and national shared-services teams
• Identify opportunities to improve close procedures, forecasting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Approximately 5–8 years of progressive public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience
• Strong month-end close, financial reporting, and US GAAP accounting experience
• Experience preparing forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, and management reporting
• Exposure to margin, overhead, profitability, or other operational financial analysis
• Experience supporting a division, business unit, regional operation, or other operationally focused organization
• Ability to partner with leaders outside accounting and translate financial information into actionable business insights
• Previous experience managing, coaching, or developing accounting and finance professionals
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to balance hands-on accounting responsibilities with broader strategic and leadership responsibilities
• Willingness to work in the Alpharetta office five days per week, with flexibility for personal and family needs
Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA
• Experience within homebuilding, construction, real estate development, manufacturing, distribution, or another operationally driven industry
• Experience working in a decentralized or division-based organizational structure
• Previous Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Finance Manager, or comparable leadership experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or involvement in an ERP implementation
• Public accounting or a blended public accounting and industry background
Salary : $100,000 - $135,000
