What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist position at PRIMARY PEDIATRICS?
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join the practice. The ideal candidate will be able to assist with phone calls, booking appointments, checking eligibility and doing patient referrals. Few days out of the week, will also help with medical assistant duties in the back with rooming patients/vitals/immunizations/POC testing. Full time position 40 hours/week.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Review and maintain accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with health information management standards.
- Process medical collections and manage billing inquiries as needed.
- Utilize computerized systems for patient records and appointment scheduling.
- Assist in managing patient flow within the office to minimize wait times.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- registered or certified medical assistant - rooming patients/vitals/POC testing/immunizations.
Experience
- Previous experience is a plus
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
