About Us:
American Medical Administrators (AMA) is a multi-location healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team and provide quality medical services across several of our clinics, Kennett, Hayti, and Steele, Missouri.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient medical records, including evaluations, medications, treatments, allergies, test results, and other pertinent documentation.
- Evaluate patient symptoms, perform examinations, and determine the most appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal regulations, while ensuring patients are informed of potential risks, complications, and interactions.
- Supervise and evaluate Medical Assistants to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and the effectiveness of care programs.
- Provide patient education and consultation on preventive health, nutrition, fitness, and hygiene to support informed decision-making.
- Rotate between multiple clinic locations to provide care coverage as needed.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state(s) of practice.
- DEA certification.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in primary care or outpatient clinic settings.
- Ability to manage patient care across multiple locations.
