What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Receptionist position at Primary Care Medicine?
Duties:
- Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate department or personnel
- Scheduling appointments and managing the office calendar
- Check In patients and providing them with all appropriate paperwork
- Patient registration and insurance verification
- Updating patient records and maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Providing general administrative support to the medical office staff
- Check Out patients and provider them with orders, referrals, etc.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is required
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
